I offer a supportive environment to share what's going on for you, to help make sense of how you are feeling, and work towards whatever changes you are looking for. I am a collaborative, integrative counsellor meaning I'll listen to what you want from our work together, and use a range of therapeutic traditions and skills to support you.
About me and my practice
I am a counselling psychotherapist working with adults 18+ and my background is in integrative and collaborative therapy models. I believe in working with you to find an approach that meets your needs. Our first session will be about figuring out how we could work together, based on your preferences and what you are hoping to understand or change with counselling.
Central to all my practice is trying to create space where my clients feel welcome, and able to share whatever parts of themself and life experiences they want or need. In particular I offer an affirming space for people of all genders, sexualities, relationship styles and those questioning. I also actively welcome neurodiverse clients and Disabled clients and I'm open to creatively accommodating access needs.
Experience
I have been working with clients for four years on a range of issues including anxiety and depression, burnout, fatigue, loss and bereavement as well as navigating big life changes such as career moves, parenting, and illness.
Two areas I have considerable experience with are people exploring and navigating gender identity and transition, and those processing their experiences of neuro-diversity (including dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, or ASD).
I've also worked for charities in research and evaluation before and alongside retraining as a counsellor. I can be a bit of a nerd about evidence!
